for

Fiscal Responsibility

How to Donate

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am pleased to let you know that I have been nominated by the Rocky Hill Republican Party to run for Representative from the 29th District (Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and Newington) to serve in the Connecticut General Assembly.

I will face the incumbent Democratic Representative Antonio "Tony" Guerrera in November. To win the seat in November, I need your help now.

I am participating in the clean elections program in which I agree to accept a minimum of $5 and no more than $100 from any person. To qualify for the Citizens Election Program, I must raise $5,000 through contributions AND get donations from at least 150 people living in the towns of Rocky Hill, Wethersfield and Newington.

To reach my goal, I am asking for your support. If there is more than one adult living in your home then each of you can contribute any amount from $5 to $100. Every person and every dollar helps me reach my goal.

I have attached a campaign donation form. Please fill out the form and mail it back to me and my campaign treasurer, Andrea Birmingham, will make sure everything is accounted for. Checks should be made out to Todd Brown for Fiscal Responsibility. The checks must come from a personal checking account and not a business account.

My platform is simple. The state government's budget should run like my household budget. At the start of the year I have a good idea of how much I will be earning in the coming year and I budget accordingly. The state budget seems to work in reverse where everything wanted gets budgeted and then taxes are raised to meet to the revenue needed. For the past 11 years the Connecticut budget has grown at twice the inflation rate and has far exceeded wage growth. This trend cannot continue. Connecticut should not spend more than it makes. Connecticut should not borrow more than it can pay back. With good fiscal planning at the state level I believe Connecticut's businesses will be able to provide more and better paying jobs.

Thank you for your time and your help.

All the best,

Todd Brown
